I haven't been blogging for a while, but that's because I have been so busy watching Spice and Wolf! This is just about my favorite anime I have seen in a long time! The story is set in fake historical Europe, maybe around the 1600's? I dunno. So a traveling merchant named Lawrence is just leaving a town that celebrates the harvest with a festival in honor of Horo, their wheat goddess. And guess who pops out of his cart? It's Horo in human form (usually a wolf) but she has wolf ears and a tail. She is no longer needed at that village due to advances in technology and the church gaining power. So Lawrence takes her along on his journey because she wants to go back to her hometown in Yoitsu to see her wolf friends. They get into lots of exciting situations, and there is some filler, but very interesting and educational filler. I like the anime a lot because, it being a Seinen, is aimed at the older crowd. You learn a lot about economics and money exchange! Very good anime. There is also some love and romance between Lawrence and Horo, but that can come to no suprise considering they are of the opposite sex and in an anime. There already are two seasons and a third one is rumored to come out, and it is based on nine light novels of the same name. I would give it a 9 out of 10.

Okami-san Episode 6!
So now in Okami-san, our heroine's dark past is revealed! Sort of. It's amazing how Okami not only looks like Taiga, but acts like her too! Well episode six explains somewhat why Okami is so mean and why she fights. It has something to do with an ex-boyfriend who did something terrible to her, and no one believed her! Do I smell rape? Nonetheless, Minorin...oops, I meant Ringo, comes to her rescue and becomes her best friend. Also, Okami begins to realize her feelings for Morino after he helps her get away from her ex-boyfriend. Okami, much like Taiga, is revealed as a delicate and kind individual hiding behind a tough facade.

Amagami SS
The new arc of Amagami SS just started today. If you don't know, the show is set up as short love stories, each lasting 4 episodes long, kind of like Boys Be only with the same main character. I loved the last arc so much, read my last post, it was hilarious! This arc is less strange, more adorable. The main girl, Karou, is always horsing around Junichi, but both of them begin to realize their friendship is blossoming into something more....
It reminds me of being a teen and just starting to fall in love. If you enjoy simple teen love stories, you will love Amagami SS. Now I am going to go watch more!

Back of the Knee maybe...
"Please let me kiss you behind your knee!" - Tachibana Junichi
Okay so I just am lovin' the Amagami SS anime. It reminds me of the Boys Be mangas, because the setup is a new love story every four episodes. And I just love love! Finished episodes three and four, now episode three was a riot, I mean I was laughing my ass off. Really, I am now without a rear. Everyone will be talking about this episode, because it involved knee kissing and kidnapper roleplaying. You better be taking notes men, cause this is the way to a woman's heart. Bitches are crazy.
In other news, if you love bouncing boobs, panty flashes, and zombies, High School of the Dead is the anime for you this season! Of course, you probably already know that. On the forums it seems to be on the top of everyone's list. Unfortunately for me, I hate zombies. I wish they would just all die... again. I won't be watching any more of that particular show, so that is the end of that.

Occult Academy
Do you like mystery? Time travel? Ghosts? School?! Then Occult Academy is the anime for you this season! The first three episodes are great so far. I really like the animation too. The story is about a school called Waldstein Academy - or better known as Occult Academy. After the headmaster dies, his daughter, Maya, takes over the school. She hates the occult though, and only wants to close the school down. Meanwhile, a time traveling agent, Fumiaki Uchida, tries to rescue the future from aliens by going into the past to find the key to these intruders. It is both action-packed and funny! I would give it an 8 out of 10 so far. Want to check it out for yourself? Go here.

Seitokai Yakuindomo
So I started watching Seitokai Yakuindomo and it's really not doing anything for me, you know? Takatoshi Tsuda is one of the few guys in a school full of girls. (The once all-girl high school recently went co-ed.) The student council president, Shino Amakusa, (pictured right) more or less forces him into the position of vice president. Along with the other two members, Aria Shichijou and Suzu Hagimura, the student council goes about normal high school life, with a little twist. This, being a comedy, has a lot of lewd jokes about sex and plenty of awkward misunderstandings. The episodes I watched were cute, but there is nothing really original about this series. It's your generic high school comedy. I wouldn't watch any more of it unless I had nothing else to do. I would give it a 4 out of 10. If you want to get your own opinion of it, check it out.

Okami-san
I just watched the first two sepisode of ookami-san to shichiinin no nakamatachi (Mr. Wolf and the Seven Friends. I am enjoying it so far, infact, it is currently my favorite of the season. The main character, Ookami Ryoko, a tall Taiga look-alike, is part of a club called the Otogi Bank that helps clients solve their problems. Her partner is a small red-head named Akai Ringo who resembles Little Red Riding Hood. In the beginning of the first episode, an extremely shy boy named Ryoshi Morino confesses his love to Ookami, but she refuses him. He ends up joining the club in hopes of winning her over, but his fear of being seen gets in the way of everything he does. They solve every problem from helping people in love to fighting off stalkers. Ookami-san is actually a funny sight when fighting, because she uses cat-shaped boxing gloves. By episode two, Ookami-san's tsundere side really comes out, and it's nothing short of adorable. In this love comedy, all the characters are strange in their own way. If you loved Toradora or are just a fan of quirky high school animes, this is for you. I myself am looking forward to episode three! I would give it an 8 out of 10. If this show sounds like something you like, watch it here.
